Aaron Millis PE

Aaron Millis joins Systems West as a Commissioning Provider, bringing nine years of HVAC design experience to the team. He began his engineering career after a short stint in the oil and gas industry, relocating to Eugene, Oregon, where he transitioned into HVAC system design. From 2016 to 2022, Aaron worked as a Design Engineer for a local contractor, designing a wide range of systems including VRF, VAV, split systems, ERVs, packaged units, and PTACs. After earning his professional licensure in 2022, he continued working more independently as a system designer, contributing to projects across multi-family housing, office spaces, schools, medical facilities, and restaurants.

Aaron earned his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at El Paso in 2013. He spent much of his formative years moving with his family due to military service, with most of his time rooted in El Paso, Texas.

Outside of work, Aaron is a part-time engineer and full-time parent. He and his wife welcomed a daughter in 2022 and a son in 2025, who keep life busy and rewarding. When time allows, Aaron enjoys staying active and outdoors, playing soccer, running, biking (motorcycle and bicycle), snowboarding, fishing, swimming, tubing the river, backpacking, photography, and tackling the occasional home or lawn project. He also appreciates a good book and the mental challenge of piecing together complex systems, which naturally drew him toward the hands-on and investigative nature of commissioning.
